Age 47, died Sunday, March 22, 1987, one day short of his 48th birthday after a short illness. He was born March 23, 1939 in Little Chute. He had lived in the Little Chute, Neenah, Appleton area all of his life. He was a 1957 graduate of St.. John High School. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, and a long time member of the Disabled American Veterans in Neenah and Appleton. He was a past member of Barbershop Singers in Kaukauna and Neenah.
Survivors include his parents, Nick and Rose Vander Pas, Little Chute; a sister, Marilyn, Little Chute; three brothers and sisters in-law, Tom and Joyce Vander Pas, Little Chute; Jim and Bett Vander Pas, Kimberly; Dan and Mary Vander Pas, Appleton; his fiance, Mary Cardin, whom he was to marry April 25; many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 1987 from St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Rev. Ronald Columbo and the Rev. Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen co-celebrants. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, and from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. There will be a prayer service on Tuesday.
