Sylvester Hietpas, 221 S. Washington St. Kimberly, age 76 beloved, grandfather, great grandfather, died Monday, May 19, 1986, at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a short illness. He was born January 2, 1910, in Little Chute. He lived in Kimberly most of his life and was employed by the Hietpas Dairy Farm for 45 years. He was also employed by Lamers Dairy for 6 years, and he also worked for the Holy Name Parish. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, and the Kimberly Golden Agers.
Survivors include four daughters and four sons in-law, Darlene and James Haber, Mary Jo and Tim Paltzer, all from Kimberly, Grace and James Hartjes, Little Chute, and Brenda and Pierre Grienier, Appleton; two sons and two daughters in-law, Duane and Mary, and Alan and Pam Hietpas, all of Kimberly; a brother Joe Hietpas, Little Chute; four sisters and a brother in-law, Sophie Huiting, Gen Lamers, Del and Erb Haessley, all of Little Chute, and Sue Kamps, Combined Locks; 24 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella (Kamps) Hietpas, on April 6, 1982; two brothers, Albert and Frank Hietpas; and a sister, Ann Vanden Heuvel.
The funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Eau Claire, with burial in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday at the Golden Funeral Home, Eau Claire, from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday noon until the of services. A public prayer vigil will be at 7:45 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
