Mrs. Theo Huiting (Sophia Hietpas) 1113 Washington St., Little Chute, age 90, passed away January 16, 1993, at Appleton Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born September 2, 1902, in Little Chute. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Weyenberg) Hietpas. She married Ted Huiting November 22, 1922, in Little Chute. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute, the St. Elizabeth Society, St. John Mission Club and the Little Chute and Vandenbroek Golden Agers.
She is survived by two daughters and sons in-law; Germaine and Harold Schumacher, Little Chute; Marianne and Verl Parker, Darboy; two sons and daughter in-law; Paul Huiting, Palm Springs, California; Ted and Muriel Huiting, Little Chute; three sisters and a sister inlaw, a brother and a brother in-law; Susan Kamps, Combined Locks; Gen Lamers, Little Chute, Della and Ervin Haessley, Little Chute; Joe Hietpas, Little Chute; Angela Hietpas, Shawano; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ted in 1930; a sister, Ann Vanden Heuvel; and three brothers, Albert, Frank and Sylvester.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m Monday. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services.
