      Age 81, passed away at Manor Care Health Services on Tuesday, January 6, 2004. She was born in Niagara, WI on April 23, 1922, daughter of the late Herman and Adeline (Lake) Froze. Stella married Joseph DeLeeuw on January 23, 1954. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2000. Stella graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in Oshkosh and received her nurse anesthetist training in Peoria, IL. She was a nurse anesthetist at Appleton Medical Center and later worked as a critical care nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital from 1968 until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Stella enjoyed knitting sweaters, mittens, hats, and scarves for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

      Stella is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (David) Weiss of Appleton; grandchildren: Julie (Travis) Lubinski of New London, Jennifer Misevicz of Fountain, CO, Jamie Misevicz of Neenah, Jon (Melissa) Misevicz of Neenah and Jillianlily Weiss of Appleton; great grandchildren: Brady, Logan, Michael, Oriana, Nikita, Noriah and Nataeo Misevicz; and a close family friend, Joseph Misevicz of Neenah. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

      The memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2004, at HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Dave Schmidt officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
