      Jacob Van Hammond, Kimberly, died about 9:30 last night in Appleton after a short illness. He was 71 years old and had been retired for six years from the Kimberly Mill of the Kimberly Clark Corp. He worked at the Kimberly Mill for about 35 years, and was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Name Catholic Church at Kimberly.

      Services for Van Hammond, who was born August 6, 1879 in the Town of Grand Chute, will be held at the church at 9 o'clock Monday morning by the Rev. C.B. Vanden Borne. Friends may call after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Jansen Funeral Home, Kimberly, where Rosary will be recited Saturday and Sunday Evenings.

      Survivors are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Martin Van Rooy, Mrs. Harold Rusch, Mrs. Clarence Sanderfoot, all of Kimberly; four sons, John, Clarence, Earl, all of Kimberly; Joseph, Shreveport, Louisana; one brother, William, Hiles, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Vanden Velden, Mrs. John A. Evers, both of Little Chute; and 14 grandchildren.
