Bob proudly served his country in the National Guard, than enlisting in the U.S. Navy's Air Force in November 1956, and served until receiving an honorable discharge in November 1960. Bob worked 30 years for the City of Appleton. Retiring in 1990, and enjoyed many years of retirement. Living in Appleton most of his life, being a chartered member of St. Bernard Catholic Church until moving to Temple, GA, in June 2001. He enjoyed his grandchildren's sleepovers, time spent spoiling them, and playing games with them outside, and on his computer. Miller, Hospice VistaCare, especially Nurses Peggy and Britni for all the loving care and kindness they showed Bob during his final days.
It was Bob's final wish to be cremated, and to have a small Memorial Service. We are honoring those wishes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, by Rev. Adrian Pleus, at 3 p.m., at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 680 West Memorial Drive, Dallas, GA 30132. Immediate family will greet family and friends at the Church from 2:30 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests masses to be said for Bob. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
