    • Alice H. Janssen, 94, of De Pere passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 19, 2015. She was born June 29, 1920 in Kaukauna to the late Arnold and Anna Smith. On May 27, 1939 she married Norbert A. Janssen in Kaukauna. Alice had worked in the kitchen at the Hickory Grove Sanitarium. She was a dedicated mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with her sister Viola, and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family. Alice's greatest enjoyment though came from time spent with her family.

      She is survived by her children; Donna (Earl) Thyssen, Nancy Leiterman, Pat Vickman, Jack (Mary) Janssen, Robert (Susan) Janssen, as well as 23 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, as well as 4 great great grandchildren, and 6 step great great grandchildren. Alice is further survived by her sister Virginia Gildernick, her brother in law Joe Winius as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert A. Janssen, her daughter Barbara Janssen, granddaughter Jennifer Salm, and two sons in law, Dave Leiterman, and Bob Vickman. Alice's siblings also preceded her in death; Clarence (Elsie) Smith, Bill (Arabelle) Smith, Joe (Bertha) Smith, Mike (Louise) Smith, Harvel (Eleanor) Smith, Alfred (Betty) Smith, Viola (Ed) Janssen, Lillian (Reed) Mullen, Anna Mae Winius, and Bob Gildernick.

      Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive in De Pere, on Tuesday May 26, 2015 after 9am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
