      Smith, Louise F. (nee Schink) Louise F. Smith (nee Schink), Kaukauna, age 93, died Thursday, February 8, 2007, at home. She was born March 24, 1913, in the Town of Rockland, WI, to the late George and Thalia (Anderson) Schink. On August 24, 1940, Louise married Michael J. Smith at St. Norbert Abby, DePere. The couple lived in Kaukauna their entire married life. They enjoyed 56 years together before he preceded her in death on April 26, 1997. Louise was a long time member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kaukauna.

      Louise is survived by her children: Mary Smith, Kaukauna; Bette (Ron) Vandenberg, Combined Locks; Tom (Trish) Smith, Kaukauna; and Bill (Margaret) Smith, Appleton; four grandchildren: Kevin Vandenberg, Minnesota; Ken (Ellen) Vandenberg, Brookfield; Kirk (Angie) Vandenberg, Marshfield; and Betsy St. John, Illinois; four great-grandchildren: Russ, Mike and Ben Vandenberg and Louisa Vandenberg. She is further survived by a brother-in-law; Joe Winius, three sisters-in-law: Alice Janssen, Virginia (Bob) Gildernick, and Lillian Mullen, numerous nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, three brothers: Myron, Ray and Roland, three sisters: Marie Popp, Ruth Davidson and Betty Wrobel.

      Funeral service for Louise will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Kaukauna, with Pastor Melinda Feller officiating. Friends may call at church from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.

      In lieu of flowers a memorial for the Immanuel United Church of Christ Organ Fund has been established. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.

      The family would like to thank Theda Care at Home Hospice, especially Charlie and Kathy, for all the care and compassion they gave Louise.
