- Clyde Walter Geurden, age 72, passed away with family by his side on Monday, September 6, 2010. He was born September 6, 1938, the son of the late Martin and Lucille (Jansen) Geurden. Clyde graduated from Kimberly High School in 1957 where he excelled in football, track and baseball. After graduation, he played semi-professional football for the Manitowoc Chiefs. Clyde served his country honorably in the United States Army. On September 6, 2003, he married his loving wife, Linda, and they made their home in the Town of Menasha. Clyde enjoyed hunting, all types of racing and football. He was especially a Green Bay Packers fan. Clyde was loved by all who knew him and he loved celebrating life with his family and friends.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Linda Geurden of Menasha; children: Lisa Delvaux of De Pere, Tony "Kit" (Lisa) Corrao of Delafield, Barry Corrao of Oconomowoc; grandchildren: Kalyn, Ryan, Zoie, Chad, Ashley, Steven, Jacob; great-grandchildren: Ava Marie and Riley Jo and brothers and sisters: Roger (Donna) Geurden, David (Sharon) Geurden, Mary Thompson, Randy (Christine) Geurden and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Clyde is further survived by his brothers-in-law: Bruce (Kathy) Valentine, Steve Valentine, Brad (Lisa) Valentine; sister-in-law, April Armeli and her late husband, Charles Armeli.
Clyde is preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Geurden, and son, Cory Corrao.
Funeral Service for Clyde will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Clyde's name.
