54 Years Old
    Roger B. Bowers Jr. January 31, 1969 ~ May 16, 2023 54 Years Old

Roger B. Bowers Jr., age 54, passed away on May 16, 2023, after a hard-fought battle against cancer and other health issues. He was born on January 31, 1969, son of Roger Sr. and Patricia (Verbeten) Bowers.

Roger dedicated his life to the construction field and was a heavy equipment operator for many years at the family business, Roger Bowers and Sons Construction. In his free time, Junior enjoyed many different hunting excursions with family and friends. He loved spending time outdoors and trying different recipes on his smoker, but was famous for his jerky. Junior enjoyed riding his UTV and spending time with his family, many wonderful friends and his dog. If he wasn’t doing any of these things above, you would probably find him in his garage. He had an impressive man cave and spent many hours relaxing in it. He loved his grandchildren dearly and was the best “papa” he could be.

Junior is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette; children: Brittany Bowers (Trevor), McKayla Bowers (Dylan) and Kevin (Rachel) Welhouse; step children: Sean Foster and Tyler Foster; grandchildren: Colton, Tyson, Kingston, Rayne, Ryder, Myla and Lily; his mother, Patricia Bowers; siblings: Mary Jo (Dan) Ashauer, Kathy (Don) Dorn, Tina (John) Kerscher, Fred Bowers, Julie (Scott) Skalmusky and Joan (Mark) Klister; mother-in-law, Margaret Wilz; brothers-in-law: Mike Braun and Patrick (Christie) Braun; Godson, Ryan Dorn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Junior was preceded in death by his father, Roger Bowers Sr.; step son, Brad Foster; brother-in-law, Joseph Braun Sr. and father-in-law, Roger Braun.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Don Everts officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Roger’s name. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Junior’s wonderful friends that have been so supportive during his illness, especially Kevin & Tammy Verheyen & Steve & Diane Diny.

Junior, you fought long and hard, never wanting to give up. Now your fight with cancer is over, so rest, you earned it. You are our hero and forever will be in our hearts. We love you Junior.
