- James A. Garrity, 102, longtime resident of Howard, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012. He was born Aug. 21, 1909, in Kaukauna, to James and Mary Garrity. He was the Vice President of Nicolet Aviation Corporation. James was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish.
Upon his retiring, James loved to spend time with his wife. He would cook for her and do all the things he could. He also enjoyed fishing with his son, Mike, and some friends he would meet up with. Upon his wife's passing, he had his chance to visit Branson Mo., and Nashville's Grand Ole Opry which he truly enjoyed; even having his name called out at one live show (in which they had him stand up) and was wished a Happy Birthday.
