Josephine A. 'Jo' Voster nee Anna Josephine Thein Appleton
Age 82, cherished wife, precious mother, adored grandmother, and great grandmothe 'Heard the Lord call on June 6, 1998 with her family at her side. Our family's matriarch was born on May 9, 1916 to the late Louis 'Butch' and Irene [St. Louis] Thein in Kimberly. On September 30, 1939 she married the love of her life Louis Joseph Voster, with whom she shared five children and many years of happiness. She was a member of Sacret Heart Catholic Church in Appleton all her married life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and his wife, Edward 'Kid' [Ruth] Thein; a sister, Louella 'Honey' Marron and granddaughters, Kristina French and Theresa Voster.
She will be sadly missed by her devoted husband, Louie; three sons, Gerald J. [Dorothy] David L. [Linda] and Michael L. [Mary F.] Voster; two daughters, Patricia A. [Curtis] French; and Linda A. [Jim] Warning; all fo Appleton; grandchildren, James, Kurt [Theresa] Rebecca, Christopher and Steven Voster, Kara [Kenneth Jr.] Vassar and Todd [Heidi] French, Amy and Heather Voster, Sarah and Erik Voster, Corrie, Crystal and Casey Warning; her special great grandson, Alexander Voster; step granchildren, James, Jolene, Kenneth, Kristine and Michael, Appleton; Denise and Jennifer Warning. She is further survived by her sisters, Marjorie [Henry] Weigand, Larson; Bernadine [Norman] Bauhs, Lois [James MD] Eley, both of Nevada; brothers, Richard [Dian] Thein, Missouri; Louis 'Bud' [Mary] Thein, Phelps; brothers in-law, Clifford Marron, McFarland, Wisconsin; and the Vosters Family, whom she dearly loved, other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, June 11, 1998 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic, 222 E. Fremont St., with Msgr. John H. Schuh officiating. The visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Valley Funeral Home, Appleton and again on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial has been established.
