- Pioneer Dies At Her Home
with the passing of Mrs. Theresa Ziebell, the Eagle River area lost another one of its pioneer settlers. Mrs. Ziebell died Saturday, July 19, at her home at the age of 68.
funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, July 22, at 2 o'clock from the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. J. D. Krubsack read the funeral service. Interment was in the Eagle River cemetery. Pall bearers were: Clarence Rand, Charles Spiess, Arthur Ziebell, Charles Hanke, Charles PRide and Max Ewald.
She was born in Germany, and came to Appleton at the age of two with her parents in 1875. On September 25, 1898, she was married to August Ziebell, and came with him to Eagle River, where they made their home. Mr. Ziebell was engaged in the woods in the lumbering industry and for years was an engineer for the Eagle River Light and Water commission.
She is survived by her husband, August, and one adopted son, Leaonard, as well as by a brother, M. Stadler, Appleton. Her brother and son, Archie, and Mr. and Mrs. CArl Ziebell, Wausau, brother of Mr. Ziebell, were the out of town relatives attending the funeral services.
