  APPLETON POST CRESCENT Friday, October 14, 1949 Herman P. Janssen, 79, Kaukauna, retired mill worker, died about 4:15 Friday morning in Appleton. He had been ill five weeks. Janssen was born January 3, 1870, in Little Chute where he lived for 21 years before moving to Kaukauna. He was employed by the Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company befor retiring 14 years ago. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. The funeral cortege will form at 8:30 Monday morning at Fargo Funeral Home at Kaukauna and services will be held at 9 o'clock at Holy Cross Church. The Rev. Andrew Quella will be in charge. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 Saturday evening. Survivors are two sons, John and Martin, Kaukauna; one brother, Michael, Little Chute; one sister, Mrs. George Kortz, Little Chute; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
