- Richart "Nig" Johnson, 65, W2890 County Rd EE,
Seymour, died Sunday morning, November 6. 1994, after a
courageous battle with cancer.
He was born January 12,1929. in Kaukauna. son aCthe late
Elmer and Martha (Schmiddle) Johnson. On September 15, 1953,
be was united in maniage to Joan Van Gompel in Little Chute.
Nig worked for Thilmany Papers for 15 years moving to
Seymour in 1962. On September 15. 1962, he and his wife
founded Johnson's Dairy and Restaurant in Seymour, retiring
March 4, 1994.
He was a past member of the Seymour Businessmen's
Association and an organizer of Dairyland Baseball in Seymour.
He was a member of the Outagamie County Fair Association.
Richard was a Korean Conflict Anny Veteran and was a member
of the Seymour VFW and Legion and was a past Commander of
the VFW Post.
Nig enjoyed life, his family, grandchildren and friends and
especially his time at White Potato Lake where he loved fishing
and playing cribbage. He enjoyed all spons, especially bowling
and watching baseball and other sporting events.
He is survived by: his wife, Joan; his children: Rick & Terry
Johnson. DePere, Randy & Jeanne Johnson, Seymour, Cheri &
Steve Krabbe, Seymour, Julie & Chad Johnson, New London; his
9 grandchildren who he loved and enjoyed: Andrea. Allison.
Emily, Aaron, Sarah & Jared Johnson and Brian, Amanda &
Jessica Krabbe; 1 brother & 2 sisters-in·law: Jim & Eileen
Johnson, Kaukauna. Jane Johnson, Hilbert; 4 sisters & 3
brothers·in·law: Lillian Verstegen, Little Chute, Belty & Orville
