    • Appleton - Margaret Ann Driessen, age 72, died peacefully after a several year battle with cancer on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Froedtert Hospital (Milwaukee) with her family at her side. She was born on February 15, 1946 in Appleton, daughter of the late Hector and Lucille Dachelet. Margaret was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Driessen on July 22, 1967 in Appleton. Kenneth preceded her in death on January 27, 2014. Margaret enjoyed her years of employment at Valley Urologic, Copps and in the area schools. However, the job she loved most was being a mom and grandma. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed genealogy. But most of all, she loved spending time with family and her grand dog Molly.

Margaret is lovingly survived by her two sons: Mark (Joanne) Driessen and their children: Hannah and Michael, Appleton; and Paul (Kristy) Driessen and their daughters: Abby, Emily, Natalie and Ellie, Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Mary Manthey IL; three brothers in-law: William Harris, Belvidere, IL, Sam Fiske, Pine River, and George (Jeanne) Driessen, Buckeye, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas and Bill; two brother's in-law: Paul Driessen and Wayne Driessen; and sister in-law, Doris Fiske.

Funeral service for Margaret will be 4:00PM on Saturday February 2, 2019 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME; Margaret's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:00 until 3:45 PM, with the service to begin at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Margaret's family would like to thank everyone who touched her life, especially Dr. Mehdi Hamadani and his team at Froedtert Cancer Center (Milwaukee) for the outstanding compassion and care given to Margaret. Margaret was always truly grateful for the dedication you've shown her during her recent transplant and battle. Another special thank you to the outstanding staff at the Center for Advanced Care (8CFAC) and Froedtert Hospital MICU. Your dedication and compassion in caring for Margaret was top notch. We would also like to thank Dr. Matthias Weiss (Theda Care Oncology) for his efforts and kindness that he gave Margaret during this battle.
