      Joseph J. Ebben, 906 N. Summit St., age 67, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday after an extended illness. He was born September 23, 1913 in Freedom. Mr. Ebben was formerly employed at Gimbels. He was a member of the Appleton Elk Lodge 337, the Ridgeway Country Club and the Catholic War Veterans.

      Survivors include his wife, Marcella (Sally); a daughter and son in-law, Jo Ann and Kenneth Heuring, Appleton; four sons and daughters in-law; Ronald and Roxanne, Tampa, Florida; Victor and Joan, Rhinelander; Joel and Lee Ann, Springfield, Missouri; and Gary and Jean, Stevens Point; four sisters; Mrs. George (Rose) Scheibe, Freedom; Mrs. Harold (Mary) Sachs, and Mrs. Josephine Feavel; both of Appleton; and Mrs. Agnes Heindel, Kaukauna; and 13 grandchildren.

      The complete funeral will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father David Riechling. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The Brettschneider-Trettin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
