    Daniel "Rocky" Reichel passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022.

    Dan was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on December 3, 1943, to Cyril and Julia (Dercks) Reichel. He enlisted in the United States Navy in January of 1963 and served proudly for 4 years on the U.S.S Arcturus. Dan was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the rank of E-4 by his discharge in 1967. Dan attended St. Mary School and Kaukauna High School, and later married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Gast on December 13, 1974. The two were married for 48 wonderful years and were blessed with two sons, KC and Chris. Dan worked as an electrician at Thilmany Pulp and Paper and later at Kimberly Clark. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all sports, especially the Packers.

    Dan was preceded in death by his parents Cyril and Julia Reichel, a brother Jim, brothers-in-law Gary Look, Harold Gast, and Marty Gast; and a sister-in-law Laurie Gast.

    He is survived by his wife Bonnie Reichel, sons Chris (Olivia Murphy) Reichel and KC (Bray Schmid) Reichel, three grandsons Brandyn, C.C., and Rocky Reichel. He is further survived by his sisters Janice Agen, Jacque Look, and Betty (Steve) Mereness. Dan is also survived by Bonnie's family: Bea Lederer, Betty (Don) Mulry, Kay Gast, George (Bitsy) Gast, Gary (Chris) Gast, Karen Gast, Lynne (Ben) Collins, Deb (Dave) Churchill, Fawn (Bill) Peterson, and Sue (Steve) Hansel

    There will be a visitation at 9:00 AM on Saturday September 10, 2022, at Bethany Lutheran Church, located at 124 W. 10th Street in Kaukauna. There will be a service to follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rod Krueger will be officiating. Dan will be laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Kaukauna.

    My dear Dan, thank you for the last 48 wonderful years. You were such a blessing to me, and I long for the day when we will be together once again. Love you, Bonnie.
