    • Robert E. Agen, King Veteran's Home, age 80, died on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at King Veteran's Home. He was born December 30, 1929 in Kaukauna son of the late Jim and Emma (Wyro) Agen. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1952. He was awarded the Distinguished Unit Emblem the Occupational Medal for Japan, Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart and the Battles Honors Unit Citation. He loved his kids, dancing and boxing.

      Bob is survived by his daughter, Julie Wiegers (longtime partner, Don Monarch), Greenleaf, his sons: Jim (Lana) Agen, Brian (Sherry) Agen, and Rick (Angela) Agen, all of Kaukauna; 11 grandchildren: Chris (Christy) Leick, Andrew (special friend Amanda) and Amanda Wiegers, Ashley (Dan) Leonard, Taylor and Tanner Agen, Andy and Brandon Agen, Amber, D.J. and Nick Agen; 5 great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Travis Leick, Ethan and Dakota Wiegers, and Sydney Staples; two sisters: Janice Siebers and family and Lillian Lucas; nieces: Joyce Huss, Sandra Walbrun, and Judy Azure, and his nephews Jack Agen and Neil Huff; and his former wife, Janice Agen.

      He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard a brother and sister-in-law, Ray (Nelda) Agen; two sisters and three brothers-in-law: Marie (Syl) Van Gompel, Bonita (Harvey) Newman, and Vincent Lucas; and a nephew, Neal Huss. He is further preceded in death by his in-laws: Cyril and Julie (Dercks) Reichel and a brother-in-law, Gary Look.

      Funeral Services for Bob will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. Friends will be received on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Complete Military Rites will be held immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.

      Special thanks to all the staff at Ainsworth Hall at King Veteran's Home for all the extra love and care that was give to our Dad from start to end.

      To Julie: Thank you for all your kindness, love and care to my special brother, your father. He loved you dearly.
