Age 70, died at 12 noon Thursday after a brief illness. She was born March 31, 1911 in Freedom. She had been a member of St. John Mission Club, St. Elizabeth Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the St. John Resurrection Choir, and the Little Chute Golden Agers.
Survivors include her husband, George; two daughters and sons in-law, Marlene and Ronald Brown, Black Creek; Audrey and Mark DeLeeuw, Little Chute; seven sons and daughters in-law, Tony and Betty, Richard and Kathleen, Ronald and Janice, all of Little Chute; Leon and Mary, Rt. 5, Appleton; Lyle and Carol, Little Chute; Gerald and Rosemarie, Rt. 5, Appleton; George, New Orleans, Louisana; a brother, Lloyd Schmitt, Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred [Ceil] Anderson, Kaukauna; Mrs. Harold [Arlene] Vanden Boogart, Kimberly; 29 grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie in 1954; and Joseph in 1963; a sister, Rose Kaezor; two grandchildren, Sarah Ann Hietpas and Rhonda Marie Brown.
A concelebrated Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church, with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen and Revs. Richard Klingeisen and Earl Schuh officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. There will be an Golden Ager and St. Elizabeth Society Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday.
