    • Elmer F. Korth, age 76, of Appleton, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin, on Monday, April 30, 2012. Elmer was born on November 5, 1935, in Appleton, to the late Elmer O. and Wilma (Vander Heiden) Korth. Elmer was employed at Neenah Foundry for over 35 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Elmer was a loving father and grandfather. He was a former ARA Little League baseball coach and enjoyed attending Appleton Foxes games, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

      Survivors include his children, Elmer J. Korth, New London; Cindy Waller, New London; Chris (Nancy) Korth, Waupaca; Tim (Terry) Korth, New London; and George (Anh Dihn) Korth, New London; his former spouse, Shirley Pieper; his grandchildren, Ryan Korth, Travis Korth, Sara (Fiancé Nick Leon) Korth, Paul Korth, Sylvie Dihn; his brothers, Kenneth Korth, Howard (Millie) Korth and William Korth; and his sister-in-law, Sandy Korth. Elmer was preceded in death by his son, Andrew; his siblings, Norita (Joseph) Glasheen, Dorothy Koepke, Ruth Koepke, Donald Korth and Roger Korth; his daughter-in-law, Suzann Korth: and his son-in-law, Dick Waller.

      Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison St. Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth L. Frey officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Military Honors will be observed at the cemetery. A memorial has been established in Elmer's name to benefit St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
