      Age 81, died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday following a lengthy illness. He was born April 13, 1897 in Freedom, Wisconsin, and had farmed in the rural Appleton area all of his life. Mr. Van Camp was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, the American Legion Post No. 258 of Little Chute, the Farn Bureau, the Greenville Coop. and the Equity Coop. Mr. Van Camp was a World War I Veteran.

      He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Lorraine) Boers, Mrs. Earl (Dorothy) Pettis, both of Appleton; and Mrs. Edward (Rosemary) Turek, Rt 2, Black Creek; two sons; Alfred and Ervin both of Appleton; five brothers; John, DePere; Frank, Jake and Joseph, all of Rt 1, Kaukauna; and Clarence 'Babe' Appleton; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Wittman, Appleton; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

      Besides his wife, Minnie Timmers Van Camp who died on October 9, 1969, he was preceded in death by a brother, William. The concelebrated mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Therese Catholic Church, with Fr. Karl Buresh and Fr. Justin Werner officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Wichmann Funeral Home, and after 8 a.m. Saturday, until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be an American Legion visitation at 7 p.m. Friday with a prayer and scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Military services will be held by the Jacob Coppus Post of the American Legion.
