      Tuesday, January 3, 1984

      Walter Evers

      Formerly of 821 N. Division St. Age 88, died at 11:17 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 1984, following a short illness. He was born March 18, 1895, in Little Chute and had lived in the area most of his life. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, the Americal Legion Post number 38 and a World War I Veterans. He was a World War I Army veteran, having served in France.

      Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Peter [Ann] Jansen, Mrs. Jack [Mae] Lorenz, Mrs Anton [Josephine] Giesen, all of Appleton; four nieces and a nephew.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Peter.

      The complete funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, with Father David Koch officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday until the cortege leaves for the church. The parish prayer and scripture service will be at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. The American legion visitation will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
