Anna (Pat) Jansen
Formerly of 3332 E. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton, age 92, died Saturday, April 14, 1990 at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. She was born April 18, 1897 in the Town of Vandenbroek. Survivors include her husband, Peter; two stepdaughters: Bernadine (Lloyd) DeNoble, Appleton; Doris Lopez, Appleton; a sister, Josephine Giesen, Appleton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Peter and Walter; and a sister, Mae Lorenz. Complete funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 1990 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., on Monday (tonight) from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the cortege leaves for the church. Prayer and scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight.
- Woman Gets Divorce on Cruelty Charge
Mrs. Anna Doeing Awarded $20 Alimony from Her Husband, Bradford Doeing
Anna Doeing was granted a absolute divorce from her husband Bradford Doeing by Judge Theodore Berg in municipal court Friday morning. She was also given possession of an automobile, $20 er month alimony and the defendant was ordered to pay all costs of the action. Mrs. Doeing in her complaine alleged cruel and inhuman treatment. She told of several beatings administered by her husband. Mrs. John Evers, mother of Mrs. Doeing, told how Mrs. Doeing came home on the night of Aug. 21, with a black eye and bruises about her face where it was alleged her husband had struck her.
Mr. Doeing claimed that his wife had started to scream and when he placed his hand over her mouth to silence her she bit him and it was necessary for him to strike her to make her let go. Mrs. Doeing alleged that since their marriage they had lived at the house of her husband's parents on the School Section-rd and that she had been forced to seek employment so that she could buy clothes.
The doeings were married at Menominee, Mich., May 11, 1925, but they parted in June.

Appleton Couple Gets Divorce For 2nd Time
Anna E. Eoeing, 28, Appleton, was granted an absolute divorce Saturday by Judge Theodore Berg in municipal court from her husband, Bradford J. Doeing, 30, Appleton. Mrs. Doeing charged her husband called her names and treated her in a cruel and inhuman manner. The couple was married May 11, 1925, and had a previous divorce in December, 1925. Before the year was up when the Judgement would have became final, they settled their difficulties and the judge set aside the verdict. They parted again last July. Mrs. Doeing was not granted any alimony and her suit was not contested.
