    • Peter Hofacker, age 88, of Kimberly, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at St. Paul Villa in Kaukauna. He was born on July 22, 1923 in Kimberly, the son of the late Peter J., Sr. and Minnie (Swinkel) Hofacker. Peter served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On June 12, 1947, Peter was united in marriage to Elaine Brockman at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Kimberly. They spent 62 wonderful years together. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. Peter was employed at Kimberly-Clark for 42 years. He was an avid traveler with his wife, children, and friends. Peter enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Oconto County. In the morning, he could be seen on his walk or spending time in their large vegetable garden during the day. Peter looked forward to dining out, hunting, and fishing.

      Peter is survived by his children: Allen Hofacker; Diane (Bruce) Boykin; Paul (Sharyn) Hofacker; Sharon (Dennis) Rassel; Laura (Rick) Vanden Wyngaard; Rita (Brad) Hietpas and James "Stretch" Hofacker; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother-in-law: Gerald (Regina) Brockman and sister-in-law: Helen Brockman, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      Peter was preceded in death by his infant son, Steven Peter Hofacker and an infant grandson, Luke Hietpas.

      The funeral liturgy for Peter will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly. Fr. David Beaudry will officiate. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
