      William J. Hietpas

      Age 58, died unexpectedly at 1 p.m. Saturday at home. He was born July 16, 1917 in the Town of Vandenbroek. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 258 and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Mr. Hietpas was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.

      Survivors included four brothers, John, George, Sebastian, and Peter, all of Little Chute; two sisters, Mrs. John [Minnie] Evers, Little Chute; and Mrs. Joseph [Harriet] Van Handel, Greenville.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Henry and Corneil; and a sister, Anna.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, and a American Legion prayer service at 7 p.m. Military rites will be conducted at the church immediately following the mass.
