      FREEDOM PIONEER DEAD.
      John L. Garvey, a pioneer of Freedom, having resided there for over half a century, died at 8:30 o'clock last Friday morning after a few days illness, death being due to old age. He leaves a wife, one son, Joseph, and three daughters, Mrs. Peter Warty, of Little Chute; Mrs. William Stoeffel, of Twelve Corners and Mrs. Martin Verhoeren of Binghampton.
