      DE PERE-Mrs. Lena Van Dyck, 66, widow of George Van Dyck and a resident of De Pere from chldhood passed away at 6 o'clock this morning in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Peter Allcox, 312 N. Michigan street. Mrs Van Dyck suffered a stroke of paralysis last Frday..


      Mrs Van Dyck was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jansen, pioneers of the community. Her father owned what was known as the fair grounds, George and Superior streets, where monthly sales of cattle were conducted. She was born July 5, 1875..


      Surviving Mrs. Van Dyck are two sons, George L. Van Dyck, assistant postmaster in De Pere, William Van Dyck, retail coal dealer in Appleton, three daughters, Mrs. Peter Allcox, De Pere; Mrs. Ivan Adriain, Fond do Lac; Mrs. Peter Vande Wettering, Freedom; one sister, Mrs. Albert Baeten, De Pere. There are 17 grandchildren..


      Mrs. Van Dyck was a lifelong member of St. Mary's church and an active member in the altar rosary society..


      Requiem mass will be sung at 9 o'clock Saturday morning in St. Mary's church. The body will remain at the Ryan Funeral home until that time. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery. Prayers will be said at 7:30 tonight and Friday..
