- Henry Hietpas Fatally Stricken At Paper Mill
Henry B. Hietpas, 616 Messer St., died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Hospital following a heart attack at the Rhinelander Paper Co., where he was employed.
Mr. Hietpas reported for work Tuesday morning. He was in the act of putting on a work jacket when he collapsed. He was taken to Ripco's first aid room and given oxygen. At 7:20 a.m. he was admitted to the hospital.
Forty-eight years old, Mr. Hietpas was born April 27, 1906, in Little Chute, Wis. He came to Rhinelander about 25 years ago. He started work for the paper company on Jan. 15, 1940, as truck driver and driver's helper. Due to a heart condition, he was doing only light work in the transport department during the last two years.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, with the Rev. Theodore Lesniak officiating, and interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hildebrand Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday. Members of the Holy Name Society, of which Mr. Hietpas was a member, will assemble at 7:45 p.m. Friday at the church to march to the funeral home in a body for the rosary at 8 p.m.
Mr. Hietpas is survived by his wife, Gertrude; two sons, James and Bernard; a daughter, Ruth Ann; his father, Herman of LIttle Chute; six brothers, John, Cornelius, George, Sebastian, Peter and William, and two sisters, Mrs. John Evers and Mrs. Joseph Van Handle, all of Little Chute.
