- Thomas P. Miller, age 78, of Oshkosh, died on Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Thomas was born on May 5, 1932, in Neenah the son of Edwin and Georgiana Peeters Miller. Thomas married Florence Kurkowski on June 20, 1953, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha.
Mr. Miller was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He taught woodworking and drafting at both Webster Stanley Middle School and Oshkosh West High School. Thomas was a UW-Stout graduate. "Papa" was a devoted fan at all his grandchildren's sporting events. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling and was a very good tennis player.
Survivors include his wife, Florence of Oshkosh; children, Mark (Jean) Miller of Oshkosh, Mary (Joe) Deitrich of Chesterfield, VA, Michele (Steve) Williams of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Rachel and Anthony Miller, Nicholas and Zachary Williams, Karyn Dietrich and also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard and Jim Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (St Peters Site 435 High Ave.) on Monday, August 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Father James Jugenheimer officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
