- Emma A. Meyers, age 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, November 6, 2016. She was born June 27, 1923 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Albert and Nora Ashauer.
Emma married Harvey Meyers on July 11, 1944. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1987.
Emma volunteered for school lunch program and enjoyed watching sporting activities. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish in Neenah where she was active in their activities.
Survivors include her five children: Mary Jane (David) Kreiner, John (Dorothy) Meyers, Patrick (Sherry) Meyers, Robert (Debra) Meyers, Richard Meyers and his special friend, Gina Pittarelli; eight grandchildren: Tim Kreiner, Martha Kreiner, Mike Kreiner, Jillian Biggs, Johnathon Meyers, Danielle Meyers, Sam Meyers and Jack Meyers; and three great-grandchildren: Nathan Kreiner, and Luke and Hannah Biggs.
Emma was preceded in death by her siblings: Loretta Schmidt, Paul Ashauer, Edmund Ashauer, Gerald Ashauer, and Anna Ashauer.
The Funeral Mass for Emma will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger Street, Neenah with Rev. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Gabriel Parish are appreciated in Emma's loving memory.
Emma's wish was to remain in her home as long as possible. Emma's family would like to say a special thank you to Allison Joubert, Jeremy Ott, Meals on Wheels, and VNA home care CNA's for allowing that to happen. Further thanks goes to the staff of Valley VNA, Theda Clark and ThedaCare at Home for helping with Emma's last days.
