Hilary R. Arnoldussen 'Hil' W1960 Teardrop Ln. Freedom
Age 66, passed away early Saturday morning of congestive heart failure. He was born January 11, 1931, in Wrightstown, son of the late George and Julia [Kerkhoff] Arnoldussen-Newhouse. On July 1, 1953 he married Loretta Van Lanen at St. Boniface parish, De Pere. Hilary retired in 1994 from Miller Electric after over 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the Armed Forces and a member of St. Nicholas Parish, Freedom, where he was a Lector and Eurcharist Minister. Hilary was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Peter's Concil 8061, Freedom, serving as financial secretary of the Council. He was also a member of the Allouez Assembly 1199 of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and the Fourth Degree Honor Guard, he was a member of Freedom Post 7692 of the Vererans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 258, Little Chute. He was a retired member of the Freedom Volunteer Fire Dept. and a member of the O.F.C Hilary enjoyed playing cribbage and sheephead, fishing, hunting and golfing.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Loretta; his children, Deb [Gary] Van Handel, Little Chute; Dan [Michelle] Arnoldussen, Freedom; Dave and fiance Dana Halase, Freedom; Dean [Shelly] Arnoldussen, Freedom; Dawn [Ken] Biese, Freedom; 10 grandchildren, and a great grandchild; Chad, Brett, Troy Van Handel; Kelley and her daughter, Justine, Adam, Tyler, Hillary, Megan Arnoldussen; Karli, Kyle Biese; two brothers and two sisters in-law, Fabian [Iris] Arnoldussen, Wrightstown; Mike [Laverne] Arnoldussen, Freedom; his brother in-law, Pat Grady; nieces and nephews; his mother in-law, Mabel Van Lanen, De Pere; his brother and sisters in-law, Norm, Dick [Marilyn], Ken [Donna] Gene [Bara] Gary [Karen], all of De Pere.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Juline; his brother, Bert; his father in-law, Charles; and Les Newhouse.
Friends may call at St. Nicholas Church, Freedom, after 1 p.m. Monday, April 28, 1997, until funeral services at 5:30 p.m. with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating, military rites to follow. Burial in the parish cemetery. The Muehl Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements.
