    • Freedom - Myron "Mike" Arnoldussen, 88, of Freedom, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Wisconsin Veteran's Home at King. He was born on May 26, 1929, a son of the late George and Julia (Kerkhoff) Arnoldussen.

      Mike entered the US Army in 1948, having served in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1952. He was a member of Freedom VFW Post #7692 in Freedom.

      On December 28, 1950, he was united in marriage to LaVerne Van Rossum at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2010.

      Mike remained a lifelong member of St. Nicholas, having served mass for funerals, was a lector, and held a position as a trustee. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus #4489 in Kimberly and the 4th Degree Council Assembly #1199 in Allouez.

      In 1984, he received the Outstanding Service to Community Award in Freedom. Mike had also served on the Freedom Fire Department. Mike enjoyed doing puzzles, woodworking, gardening, and doing household projects with his Grandchildren.

      He is survived by sons, Dennis Arnoldussen, Appleton; Larry Arnoldussen (fiancee', Theresa VanVonderen), Menasha; three grandchildren: Lance (Crystal) Arnoldussen, Watertown; Lisa Stephenson (fiance', Scott Peterson), Menasha; Lu Ann (Russ) Monroe, Chilton; great-grandchildren: Logan Degrave, Brennan Stephenson, Olyvia Peterson, Masie and Zada Monroe, Amber (Jason) Strehlow, David Jr.( Kaitlyn) Bold, Kayla and Alexis Arnoldussen; great great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Sophia Bold; former daughter-in-law, Linda Rohm; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Bernice Dercks, Donald Van Rossum, Ronald (Barbara) Van Rossum, Eugene (Sue) Van Rossum, Carol Van Rossum, Loretta Arnoldussen, Pat Grady, and Bob Weyenberg.

      In addition to his wife and parents, Mike was preceded in death by sisters: Juline Grady and Florus Weyenberg; brothers: Bert, Fabian, and Hilary Arnoldussen; sisters-in-law: Rosie Grode, Iris Arnoldussen, and Mary Van Rossum; brothers-in-law: Jim Van Rossem, Wayne Grode, and Roger Dercks: great-granddaughter, Maddison Stephenson and great-grandson Joshua Bold.

      Friends may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom, on Monday, February 19, 2018, from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at noon with Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Freedom VFW Post #7692. Online condolences may be expressed to Mike's family at www.muehlboettcher.com.
