- Neenah - Carol E. Klassen, age 63 of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018. She was born in Neenah to Esther and Francis Van De Hey on May 19, 1955.
Carol's priorities in life revolved around her grandchildren and her friends. She loved being around people and always had a smile to share, along with a laugh that was highly contagious. She treasured her friends from all eras of her life, extending all the way back to her days at Menasha High School. She recently retired from Pitney Bowes after many years of hard work, and was also a member of New Hope Church in Neenah.
Carol will be sadly missed by her daughters: Maria Schommer; Michelle (Chad) Wisneski; and Melissa Marini; by her grandchildren: Tyler Wisneski; Abby Wisneski; Josie Wisneski; Kylee Anaya; Sophia Marini; and Antonio Marini; as well as by her siblings: Dan (Barb) Van De Hey; Bob Van De Hey; Marvin (Bonnie) Van De Hey; Julie Polar; and brother-in-law Don Remmel. She is further survived by her beloved dog, Bella; many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends: Barb Romneck and Julie Mattison, as well as many others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joan Remmel; sister, Sue (Bill) Hayes; and brother-in-law, Archie Polar.
A memorial service for Carol will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at New Hope Church, 1850 American Dr., Neenah, Rev. Jeff Prewitt officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday at church from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
Carol's family would like to extend a special thank you to Rev. Jeff Prewitt and the New Hope Church family for all of the love and support they showed her over the years.
