- Audrey G. Maloney, 91, longtime resident of Green Bay, died on her birthday, Monday, September 2, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 1922, in Green Bay to Walter and Dorothy (McGrath) Pfotenhauer.
Audrey graduated from Green Bay East High School. On September 28, 1946, she married Lawrence Maloney at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. He preceded her in death in 1983. Audrey had been employed by Standard Oil, and in the Statistics Dept. at H.C. Pranges Co. She was also an active volunteer in the Green Bay community; Howe Elementary School, Green Bay Literacy Center, St. Vincent De Paul, St. John the Evangelist Parish, Heritage Hill, and Hazelwood.
Audrey will be greatly missed by her three children, Dan and Sue Maloney, Oconomowoc; Katie Maloney and her husband, Mark Villwock, Green Bay; Molly Maloney and David Kelley, Minneapolis; six grandchildren, Mike (fiancée, Lindsey Moser) Maloney, Kate Maloney, Dan (Kate) Maloney, Megan Maloney, Emily Villwock, Ben Villwock; and her loyal canine companion, Fritz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; her sister, Eunice Perra; and by a succession of Irish Setters, Riley, Shaughnessey, Lucky, Maggie, and Kelly.
Friends may call at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 413 St. John St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Audrey's name.
The Maloney family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Birch Creek for their loving care of Audrey.
Audrey was a loyal friend; a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a very hard worker; and a wonderful human being who will be greatly missed.
