- Robert J. Gossens of Sturgeon Bay, formerly of Kaukauna, age 56, passed away Saturday, June 24, 1995, at St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born September 19, 1938, in Appleton, son of Norbert and Mary (Koch) Gossens. On April 8, 1958 Bob married the former Barbara Benotch in Kaukauna.
Bob was very involved with men's amateur sports including softball, basketball and touch football. He was an avid fisherman and owned his own fishing charter business "The Lucky Penny" in Kewaunee. Bob was an avid golfer and had a great love for all music.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Norb (Linda) and their daughter Ashley of Appleton, Guy (Carrie) and their daughter Emily of Kaukauna, and Sam the Cat; His father and step-mother, Norbert and Toni Gossens, and his mother Mary Gossens of Kimberly; four brothers, John (Susan) of Little Chute, David (Vicki) of Kimberly, Tim (Sandy) of Middleton, Don (Karen) of Kimberly; three sisters, Barbara (Bob) Havel of Combined Locks, Janet (Ray) Wiess of Kimberly, and Gwen (Dan) Pociask of Menasha.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jere. There were no formal services held. The Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, handled the arrangements.
