 | Elizabeth "Betty" Lueck Age 90 Kaukauna, WI
Elizabeth [Betty] M. Lueck, age 90, of Kaukauna, WI passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 1:45 pm. She was born at home in Kaukauna in 1934 to Anthony and Mary [Pennings] Derus. Betty attended Holy Cross grade school and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1952. She initially worked at Campbell’s clothing store and then Look Drug Stores on both the North and South side prior to her working as a teller, becoming Head Teller, at the Bank of Kaukauna for 43 years and a favorite of her customers.
Betty married Frank C. Lueck on October 13,1954, He passed away, too young, on April 10, 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Mary, her sisters Charlotte (Charlie) Montanye, Joan [Cal] DeBruin, Clarine [Marvin] Miller, and brother, David (Jean) A. Derus of Lodi, CA.
A devoted mother, wife, aunt, and friend; she was kind and generous. She was an avid reader and particularly loved music as she was a gifted singer. Her greatest joy was her family. An excellent cook, a homemade meal was always waiting for her family though she worked full time. Candy making, baking and canning are cherished memories.
She is survived by her three children Beth M. Lueck of Chicago IL, Tony L. Lueck [David J. Martinelli] of Chicago IL, Jeffrey C. Lueck of Madison,WI and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to the numerous health care providers who gave her such loving and quality care at Heartland Hospice. Thank you to all of the nieces, nephews and friends who sent cards, called and visited over the years. Card games and laughter at Eagle River with the Luecks’ was a favorite.
A special thank you to Betty’s nieces Anne Miller, Lisa Miller and Sue Levanetz.
Visitation will be from 10am-11am, July 2, 2024 followed by the funeral liturgy at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, WI with Fr. Luke Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna, WI. |
