Montanye, Charlotte H. (Derus) Charlotte H. Montanye (Derus), age 84, died at Manor Care in Appleton on Friday, June 23, 2006. She was born in Kaukauna on April 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Pennings) Derus. On November 27, 1943, she married her husband of many years, Charles Montanye, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He precedes her in death. Charlotte was a very good cook who took wonderful care of her family.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Ned (Nancy) Montanye of Appleton; Chris (Sharon) Montanye of Seymour; Keith "Mizer" (Karen) Montanye of Darboy; Claudia Baum of Appleton and Kathy Stoll and spouse of Appleton; grandchildren: Mandy Montanye of Milwaukee; Michelle (Corey) VerHaagh of Combined Locks; Adam (J'aime) Montanye of Menasha; Blaine Montanye of Seymour; Tyler Montanye of Seymour; Jason (Vicki) Montanye of Little Chute; David Montanye of Kissimmee, FL; Brian Baum of Little Chute; Amy (Bob) Denis of Shiocton; Dale Baum of Manawa and Jodie (John) McKenzie of Little Chute; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Clarine Miller of Appleton and Betty Lueck of Kaukauna; brother, David Derus of Lodi, CA; brother-in-law, Cal DeBruin of Kaukauna; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; sister, Joan DeBruin; and an infant daughter, Mary Anne.
The visitation will be on Monday, June 26, 2006, from 10 a.m. until the time of the liturgy at 12 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, Kimberly Campus, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Burial will at 2:30 p.m. on Monday in Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family extends a very special thank you to Virginia Mongin for being a dear friend. Further, thank you to the staff at Manor Care and the many friends of Charlotte for their wonderful care for the past number of years.
