Mrs. Norbert C. West (Marie T. Gasser) 225 W. Pershing St., age 49, died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday. She was born October 9, 1932 in Chicago. Mrs. West was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Menasha, and a graduate of Kaukauna Normal (State Teachers College). She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Ladies of St. Pius.
Survivors include her husband; Norbert C., to whom she had been married for 30 years; two daughters and their husbands; Joan Hartstern and her husband, Daniel; Barbara Lutzewitz and her husband, Steve, all of Appleton; three sons and their wives; Norbert Jr. and his wife, Linda; Steven and his wife, Margaret, all of Appleton; Andrew, at home, and his fiance Donna Schumacher; three grandchildren; Steven Jr., Jennifer and James West; her father; Mr. Oswald Gasser, Appleton; a brother; Thomas Gasser and his wife, Joan, Colorado Springs, Colorado; her father in-law; Joseph West; her brothers in-law; Henry and Robert; her sisters in-law; Mrs. Balerie Portman and Mrs. Arlene Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Gasser, in 1968. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Father Ron Colombo officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and after 8 a.m. Wednesday until the cortege leaves for the church. The prayer and scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial fund is being established.
