Elroy A. Aerts 'Hubba' 1108 Lawe St., Kaukauna, age 73, passed away Sunday April 4, 1999 at Appleton Medical Center after the short illness. Elroy was born January 26, 1926 in Kaukauna, son of the late Victor and Meta (Thiesfeldt) Aerts. Elroy served our country during World War II as a member of the 535 th Anti-Aircraft Artiillery Auto-Weapon Battalion. He married Rosemary West on April 19, 1947 in Appleton. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Elroy retired from Thilmany Pulp and Paper Mill in 1988.
Elroy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemary; a sister, Alice Mae Fahrenkurg; his nieces, Susan Ladd, godchild, Kathi (Jerome) Thompson, Allison (Mark) Burazin, Ann (Randy) Lamers, Lynn (Tom) Schwietzer, and Wendy (Dan) Steward; his nephews, Mark (Sheryl) West, Paul West, and Todd West. Elroy great nieces and nephews, Doug (Barb) Ladd, Jamie (John) Carter, Jennifer and Sara Lamers, Aaron and Alyssa Steward, Becky and Kevin West; a sister in-law, Mickey West; a brother in-law and sister in-law, Ray (Nancy) West. His special friends, Don (Kathy) Grissman, and their sons Bryan and Kevan.
He was preceded in death by his brothers in-law, Roy West and Carl Fahrenkurg; a sister in-law and a brother in-law, Helen and Fred Hall.
Friends may call at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, after 2 p.m. Thursday, until the time of services at 5 p.m. the Rev. Ronald Raddatz officating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. There will be no visitation at Boettcher Family Funeral, Kaukauna. The family would like to thank the staff of 4th Floor Pulmonary POD of Appleton Medical Center.
