    • Age 85 of Fremont, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012, at home following a long struggle with cancer. He was born in Darboy, WI to John and Marie (Wyngaard) Seegers on March 2, 1927.

      Herman was in the Navy serving from 1944 - 1946 on the Tuscaloosa. He worked for most of his life at Kimberly Clark and Millcraft Homes. In the last years of his life, he managed the Red Banks Motel. He loved going dancing more than anything. He was very active in his church, the United Methodist Church in New London, WI.

      Herman is survived by his eldest daughter, Margie (Stan) Prellwitz and three more daughters; youngest son, Perry (Tina) Seegers and one additional son; brother, Louis (Catherine) Seegers; two sisters, Lucina Kuepper and Lillian (Joe) Hermsen; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Seegers; grandchildren, Penelope (Allen) Bartotto, Gwendolyn Prellwitz (special friend Karl Lobring), Chris Manley, Sarah Seegers (special friend Michael Soiney), Annabelle Seegers and seven more grandchildren; great- grandchildren, Nikolaus, Zachary and Micheyla Bartotto, Kenedi and Lawson Seegers, and ten more great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his step-children, Leo (Judy) Haase, Shirley (Alden) Hanes, Marcella (Ronald) Schmidt, David Haase, Mary Jane (Roger) Fahser), Roger Haase, and Dennis (Cindy) Haase; one step-daughter-in-law, Joyce Haase; step-grandchildren, Mike Haase, Mark Haase, Matthew Haase, Heath Hanes, Shelly Fuhs, Jerry Schmidt, Kathy Schmidt, Katrina Haase, Steve Fahser, Renee Behnke, Bradley Haase, Wes Haase, Wendy Mason and Max Haase; 24 step- great-grandchildren; and Sandy Petrausch, his beloved companion who was at his side throughout his illness and her family Jim (Julie) Petrausch and Cody, Kim Petrausch, Angie Petrausch and Dusten.

      Herman is preceded in death by his wife and dancing partner Audrey; parents; four sisters, Louise Weyenberg, Beanie Hopfensperger-Buechler, Betty Leitzke-Van Dyke and Marie Haase; three brothers, Albert, Clarence, and John Seegers; one sister-in-law, Regina Seegers; six brothers-in-law, Matthew Weyenberg, Stephen Kuepper, William Hopfensperger, Willard Leitzke, Ray Haase and Fred Van Dyke.

      The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at United Methodist Church, 709 W. Pine Street, New London with Rev. Kate Croskery-Jones officiating. Family and friends may call directly at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date in Little Creek Cemetery, Symco, Wisconsin.
