      On their tombstone, the inscription read they had been born in Holland and Came to Kaukauna in May 1848.

      They had nine children, eight were still living when John's estate was probated.
      Cornelius Bartholomew was living in Green Bay.
      John Adrian was living in Milbank, SD. (my husband's great grandfather)
      Theodore died, according to a deposition taken from Anna, several years before his father at about the age of 30.
      Maria Catharina (Katie) was married to John H. Menting and living in Buchanan.
      Anna Maria (Mary)was married to Peter Von Hoppen and secondly to Joseph Collier, also living in Buchanan.
      Peter was living in Duluth.
      Hanna/Annie baptized Hendrica was married to Peter Verbaten and lived in Buchanan.
      Arnold was living first in Montana when the papers were filed and had moved to British Columbia when the probate was finalized.
      Anton was living in Eagle River,WI.
