      Mary Berghuis [Mary Ashauer] 225 W.12th. St. Kaukauna

      Age 84, died peacefully Friday, February 9, 1990 at her home, following a six month illness. She was born April 11, 1905 in Kaukauna, and lived her entire life in Kaukauna area and was an active member of St. Mary Parish her entire life.

      Survivors include three sons and daughters in-law, Robert and Betty Berghuis, Combined Locks; Jack and Rose Berghuis, Brillion; Tom and Terri Berghuis, Appleton; four daughters and two sons in-law, Ruth Brayton, Appleton; Joan and Bill Van Dyke, Mary DeBruin, all of Kaukauna; Betty and Dave Hahn, West Bend; 31 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband John; and a son in-law, Del Brayton.

      Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Robert Vandenberg officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church gym after 4 p.m. on Monday until the time of the services. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Greenwood Fargo Funeral Home is assisting the family.
