- Curtis "Curt" D. Johnson Kaukauna Age 49, died September 8, 2000, from a courageous battle with cancer. Curt was employed at Thilmany's for 30 years. Curt was a loving father and devoted husband. Curt had many interests and hobbies: He was an avid hunter, brew meister, computer expert, and NASCAR fan. Curt was an active member of the Calumet Flyers Airplane Club and the Outagamie County Conservation Club. Curt also loved to read, golf and work in the garden. Curtis is survived by Barbara, his wife of 29 years his parents Ellsworth "Ossie" and Rose Mary "Rosie" Johnson, Little Chute Bill Welhouse and the late June, Little Chute his children Connie (Marty) Kramer, Pine River Curt Johnson, Kaukauna Sean Johnson and special friend Cece, Kaukauna his grandchildren, Jacob and Mikayla Kramer, Daemyen and Dominic Johnson. Curt's brothers and sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Soland from Kaukauna and their children Brittney (Richard) Dupuis, Mandy, Danielle, Josh and Zack. Bryan Johnson from Brillion and special friend Jody and his children Kyla, Alayna, Whitney, and Cale. Cindy (Scott) Krzewina from Kaukauna and their children Wesley, Krystle and Tyler. Barbara's brothers and sisters, Bonnie (Tom) LeMieux from Shiocton and her children, Denise, Brenda, Dawn, Dennis (Amy), Nikki and Nathan Griesbach. Becky Vanden Oever from Denmark and her children, Brian and Jodi Heckel, Lisa (Nick) Bougie. Bill Welhouse from Black Creek. Five great-nephews and two great-nieces. Four god children, Brittney Dupuis, Dennis Griesbach, Whitney Johnson and Sandy Hatton. God parents, Benny and Evelyn Peer.
Curt is also survived by many special friends. Curt is preceded in death by a nephew, Rory Krzewina grandparents, Peter (Josephine) Micke and Willard (Helene) Johnson. Funeral liturgy will be on Monday September 11, 2000, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH (309 Desnoyer Street) at 5 p.m. Friends may call on Sunday, September 10 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service (5 p.m.) at the church.
