- David J. Welhouse, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Friday July 26, 2013, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, after a brief illness, with his family at his side. The son of Donald and the late Marian (Ryan) Welhouse was born on October 9, 1952, in Puerto Rico. He graduated from Premontre High School in 1970, and later from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1974 with a degree in Engineering. On June 12, 1976, he married Carol Zillmer at SS. Edward and Isidore Church.Dave worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 38 years as a Project Manager. His work involved a lot of travel; throughout his tenure, his family live in Roselle, IL; Honolulu, HI; and Belleville, MI. Dave was a proud part-owner and avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. His hobbies included photography, reading, and spending time with family. He loved "anything aviation", and making people laugh. Survivors include his loving wife, Carol, Belleville, MI; two sons, Jonathan (Amy) and Matthew; a granddaughter, Mackenzy; his father, Donald, Green Bay; two brothers, Douglas (Tori) Welhouse, Suamico, and Dirk (Jackie) Welhouse, Abrams; three sisters, Deborah (Michael) Schreiner, Tucson, AZ, Diane Welhouse (David DiNatale), Suamico, and Darla Welhouse, Green Bay; his mother-in-law, Joyce Proctor, Anston; three brothers-in-law, John (Christine) Zillmer, Anston, Don (Sheri) Zillmer, Florida, and Jim (Jean) Zillmer, Kaukauna; three sister-in-law, Gail (John) Okray, Green Bay, Mary (Dean) Hille, Pulaski, and Judy (Todd) Kwansy, Oshkosh; and aunt, Beth Steinbrecher, Anston; uncle, Donald (Shirley) Steinbrecher, Howard; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his mother, Marian, on February 9, 2013, an infant sister, Dannette, his father-in-law, Ralph Zillmer, a brother-in-law, Dale Zillmer, uncles Jim Ryan and Earl Steinbrecher, and a very special cousin, Ann Steinbrecher. Friends may call at SS. Edward and Isidore Church, 3667 Flintville Rd, Green Bay, from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation continues after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church, Fr. Dave Hoffman presiding. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
