He was recently appointed Temporary Administrator of St. Mark Parish, Redgranite, and Sacred Heart Parish, Poy Sippi (2007). Father also was a member of the Presbyteral Council, elected in June, 2006. Father Geenen served as Bishop's representative to the Green Bay Catholic High Schools Budget Review Committee (1977); as a Field Advocate for the Diocesan Marriage Tribunal (1981); as a Pastor Consultor (2005); and was the Regional Vicar of Vicariate VIII from 2002-2006.

Reception of the body by the Regional Vicar, Father Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep, will take place at Noon on Friday, January 26, 2007, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Waupaca. Visitation will follow until 4.
