- Dolores "Blondie" Theresa Giordana, 84, of Kaukauna, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. Dolores was born on October 15, 1927 in Kaukauna to John and Rose Rieth. She was united in marriage to Carl Giordana on April 15, 1950 in Kaukauna. Dolores was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and she enjoyed attending her family's sporting events. She worked at Park School for many years as a library aide. She also enjoyed watching the Brewers and the Packers. Dolores was a wonderful cook, enjoyed sewing, making quilts for all the grandchildren and the time she spent with her family will always be cherished. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish.
Dolores is survived by her five children; Carla Giordana, Waukesha, Ric (Vicki) Giordana, Kaukauna, Reed (Linda) Giordana, Kaukauna, Ross (Jody) Giordana, Kaukauna, and Paula Giordana, Cary, North Carolina, 11 grandchildren; Leah (Gary) Shaffer, Lacey (Steve) Scharine, Jared, Nicci (Fred) Sprangers, Ryan (Rebecca), Jenna (fiancée Ritchie Davis), Jordan, Allie, Breanna, Carly, and Drew, four great grandchildren and one on the way; Brett, Brady, Keegan, Jace and soon to be, Mason, a sister, Rosemary Schoenfelt, Kaukauna, and a sister-in-law, Denise Rieth, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, a brother, John, and a sister, Dorothy (Pete) Steffens, and a brother-in-law Norm.
A memorial service for Dolores will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Fargo Funeral Home with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a thank you to the Giordana family for all their care and support of Mom through the years, and also Meals on Wheels and her other caregivers. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com
