- Suzanne M. Kasten, 73, Oshkosh, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Evergreen in Oshkosh. Born on Dec. 24, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harold (Hipe) and Bernadette Jansen. Suzanne graduated from St. John's High School in Little Chute in 1955.
On Oct. 29, 1960, she was united in marriage to Tom Kasten. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, reading, and meeting with her Bunko friends. Suzanne worked 23 years at Fleet Farm in Oshkosh until the time of her illness.
Suzanne is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tom; one daughter, Kelly Kasten; two grandsons, Donavon and Carson Schraa; sister Pam (Joe) Jansen, Little Chute; brother, Harold Jr. (Rie-ann) Jansen, Wrightstown; brother-in-law, Jim (Gina) Kasten, Lakeside, Calif.; and numerous nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jacqueline; her parents, sisters, Nancy Fox and Becky Jansen, and members of Tom's family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. William Van DeKreeke officiating.
