      Klister, Sarah "Helen"


      Sarah "Helen" Klister, 92, De Pere, died peacefully Monday, Aug. 10, 2009.

      She was born June 11, 1917, to Edward and Sadie (Summers) Tucker in Askeaton, Wis.

      She married Joseph J. Klister on Sept. 23, 1947. He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1969.

      She is survived by her five children, Robert, Green Bay; Donna (David) Ball, Pulaski; Elaine (Chris Geisel), Wauwatosa; Joanne (Dennis) O'Donnell, De Pere; and Donald (Michele Scalish), Hartford. Helen is further survived by ten grandchildren, ten great- grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret McVey and Dorothy (Thomas) Hubert; as well as two sisters-in-law, Martha Tucker, and Bernice Klister, and many nieces and nephews.

      Besides her husband Joseph; she was preceded in death by two sons, John and William; her parents; three brothers, Patrick, John, and Charles; and two sisters, Mary and Catherine.

      Family and friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Fr. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to express online condolences to the family.
