      Mrs. John Van Roy

      Mrs. John Van Roy died at her home in this city on Sunday evening of heart trouble, in the presence of her family. She was a resident of this community for many years and last year moved to Kaukauna with Mr. Van Roy and daughter, Miss Anna. She was well known here and her departure is regretted by all of her friends. Many from Darboy, her old home, attended the funeral which was held Wednesday morning at nine o'clock from St. Mary's church with interment in St. Mary's cemetery, the Rev. F. X. Steinbrecher officiating. Deceased was a member of St. Ann's society of Darboy who attended the funeral in a body. She leaves to mourn her death, a heart-broken husband, five sons, John of Manitowoc, Mike of Milwaukee, Bert, Joseph and Martin from Kaukauna, four daughters, Miss Anna, and Mrs. John Renu of Kaukauna, Mrs. John Kaspig of Darboy, Mrs. John Wolf of Little Chicago, and sixteen grandchildren. Mrs. Van Roy was the mother of three soldiers, Martin, Bert just returned from France last Thursday and Leo who died in camp last October. One grandson, Henry Van Roy, was a sailor. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Michels of Milwaukee and a half-sister Mrs. Leo Langlois of Phlox.
